Enhancing the Performance of Asphalt Mastic with Natural Fiber Reinforcement: Basalt and Bamboo Fibers

Incorporating fibers into asphalt mixtures as additives and stabilizers can significantly enhance the performance of pavements. This study aimed to analyze impact using basalt bamboo modifiers on properties mastics. The effects different types rutting resistance, fatigue elastic recovery, low-temperature cracking were tested frequency scanning, linear amplitude scanning (LAS), multiple stress creep recovery (MSCR), bending beam rheometer (BBR) experiments. results suggest that adding mastics effectively improve their stiffness, higher fiber content, better stiffness enhancement. Moreover, characteristic flow index grows gradually with rise in temperature, indicating these materials exhibit near-Newtonian fluid behavior at elevated temperatures.
